Water Industry Forum appoints new leader
The Water Industry Forum has appointed Anita Payne as the organisation’s executive director. The forum is the “independent and neutral thought leadership forum of British Water”. She will start in mid-July 2023.
Payne (pictured) is currently director, insight and impact at Ofwat. She has also worked as an economic advisor on water issues at the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the European Commission and has experience in water policy and regulation in Australia.
She will succeed Peter Drake who has led WIF since its formation in 2009. He will continue on a part time basis in a supporting role for a non-specified period of transition.
