Spring appoints three new board members
Water innovation consultancy Spring, has appointed three new board members: chief digital officer for utilities at Fujitsu, Graeme Wright; head of urban systems at Innovate UK, Christian Inglis; and founder of innovation consultancy, AD:K, Anthony King.
Wright has been with Fujitsu since 2001 and joins the Spring board in an annual rotation seat from his role as an advisory member of the Spring Strategic Advisory Panel. Inglis has been at Innovate UK since 2007 where his focus is on research and business development.
King builds and advises on tech hubs, accelerators and new ventures for innovators, corporates, funds, banks and governments. He is also an investor in technology ventures.
Spring was launched in December 2021 to support the water sector in delivering the ambitions of its 2050 Water Innovation Strategy. It has recently carried out a user engagement exercise and, as a result, is revamping some services, including its Spring Innovation Accelerator and Knowledge Transfer Service.
Spring managing director, Carly Perry, offered “heartfelt thanks” to outgoing board members, Ezechi Britton and Christine McGourty.
The new appointments will join Perry and board members: director of environment, Dŵr Cymru Tony Harrington; chief executive at UKWIR, Steve Kaye; managing director of the Energy Innovation Centre Denise Massey; chief executive of British Water, Lila Thompson; director of strategic delivery and commercial at Anglian Water, Jason Tucker; and chief information officer at Northumbrian Water, Nigel Watson.
