Price appeals to run to 2026

Ofwat has agreed to a request from the Competition and Markets Authority to extend from six to 12 months the time available to redetermine the PR24 appeals from Anglian Water, Northumbrian Water, South East Water, Southern Water and Wessex Water  “given the nature and scale of the work involved in five water industry price control references and the associated procedural complexity”.

The administrative timetable (see above) has now been published. The next immediate steps are for interested third parties to make their submissions (by 22 April); for Ofwat to respond to the appellants’ statements of case; and for appellants to comment on each other’s statements of case (both by 29 April).
