Pow resigns as water minister
Water minister, Rebecca Pow, last week resigned from her ministerial post, amid the mass resignations in the Conservative Party and its leadership hiatus.
Pow said on Twitter: “Values, integrity and the morals by which I live are at stake, and the needs of the country must always come first.”
In a follow up letter, she said the environment ministerial post had been “my life’s dream, the culmination of my life’s experiences, and where I believe was making a difference for all of our futures”.
She stays on as MP for Taunton Deane.
At the time of writing, environment secretary George Eustice remained in post.
