After a year-long procurement round, Northern Ireland Water has unveiled its appointments to a professional services framework, valued at “up to £800m”. The framework will support the “planning and delivery of Northern Ireland Water’s Capital Works Programme, including the sustainable delivery of key water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Northern Ireland”.
The IF182 Professional Services Framework comprises five lots and will run for an initial four-year term, with options to extend to 2032. The government-owned water company said the expenditure “can flex up and down, depending on the capital investment budget available for that period”.
Northern Ireland Water said a range of services within the framework will be provided by local companies including project management, network modelling, digital innovation and plans to strengthen climate resilience. Six Northern Ireland-based organisations are included in the five lots.
Companies on the IF182 Professional Services framework will work on projects “from inception through to construction stages of the capital works programme.” These include:
feasibility;
design and climate change;
surveying and modelling;
project management;
site supervision;
programme management office services; and
innovation and efficiency services.
