New Bill seeks to prioritise chalk streams in wastewater investment programmes

Liberal Democrat MP and deputy leader Daisy Cooper presented her Chalk Streams (Sewerage Investment) Bill to Parliament last Wednesday.

A Private Members’ Bill, it seeks to require water companies to prioritise areas with chalk streams and related habitats when investing in new and upgraded sewerage systems.

The Second Reading is scheduled for 11 July.
