MOSL joins responsible business network
MOSL has joined the responsible business network founded by the Prince of Wales, Business in the Community (BITC). The network brings businesses together to tackle some of the biggest challenges facing communities, from protecting the planet to gender and racial equality.
MOSL joined more than 600 businesses that have committed to achieving their business objectives while also considering the wider societal need.
Chief executive, Sarah McMath, commented: “Joining BITC adds new impetus to one of the primary reasons why the competitive water market was launched in 2017, namely to deliver sustainable, environmental benefits through more efficient use of water, reduced carbon emissions and more innovation and better use of technology. As the market operator for the non-household water market, we believe we are in a unique position, at the heart of the market, to help the sector to achieve both its net zero and water consumption reduction goals.
“We have taken several steps this year to outline our role in supporting our environmental goals, such as through our work on the Data Insight improvement programme, improving our offering to colleagues around wellbeing, equality, diversity and inclusion and working in partnerships with local organisations. By joining BITC and accessing its accredited tools and established network, it will help us to develop our first Sustainability Plan enabling us to provide clarity to colleagues and the wider community alike about our commitment to make a positive impact, inspire positive action and empower positive change.”
