Business Stream doubles water saving funding for Scots museums, councils and hospitals

Business Stream has doubled the funding it provides to Scotland’s public sector organisations to help them improve water efficiency.

This year the retailer upped its annual Water Efficiency Fund, which it has offered since 2020, from £50,000 to £100,000.

Thirteen public sector organisations secured money for 16 water efficiency projects, with the projects due to commence in the coming weeks. These included National Museums Scotland, which will use its £12,500 award to conduct water conservation audits across five of its sites; NHS Forth Valley, which will use its allocation to install water efficient urinals and taps at seven locations; and West Lothian Council, which will reduce water usage in the region’s schools.

Business Stream will also support the delivery of each project.
