Affinity leads on service to retailers as BR-MeX begins

Affinity Water retained the top spot in February 2025’s R-MeX survey, which measures retailer satisfaction with wholesalers. The water-only company scored 8.75 out of 10, compared to the average score of 8.04. Northumbrian climbed one place since the August 2024 survey to take second place, with an overall service score of 8.33.

South East Water was bottom of the table with 7.55, albeit it had improved its overall service score by 1.15 since August. Thames improved 1.26, moving out of bottom place with 7.57.

The R-MeX survey takes place once every six months. It consists of eight questions covering topics such as engagement, communication and data quality.

As of 1 April 2025, the R-MeX survey makes up 25% of the new Business Customer and Retailer Measure of Experience (BR-MeX) metric.
